Awards and Achievements
Journeys of Life has become a force in the greater Pittsburgh community, the state and the country. Over the past 25 years Jean Haller, founder of Journeys of Life, has built relationships with non-profit agencies and been a long time member of several local and national trade associations. Jean has been a member of the Shadyside Chamber of Commerce for 22 years. She is a past Board Member of POWER (PA Organization of Women in Early Recovery). She currently serves on the Board of Gateway Rehabilitation Center. She is Giftware Editor for Retailing Insight and a mentor to other similar businesses throughout the country through COVR, Coalition of Visionary Resources. It is no coincidence that Jean has been honored by several organizations for her efforts as a business woman, writer and mentor. National Give Back Award
Each year Retailers from around the country are nominated for their achievements in giving back to their communities. Journeys of Life was nominated and won the award in recognition of the many programs Jean has conducted over the years in business. The 2011 fire and subsequent monies raised by the Fire Sale were recognized by awarding Journeys of Life the Next Big Give award.
